Welcome Rotators

Contact Information for Your Rotation:

Primary Contact: Dr. Roger Rothenberg (Toxicology Senior Fellow): roger.rothenberg@nyulangone.org

Catherine Castro (Rotation Coordinator): ccastro2@health.nyc.gov

Attendance is MANDATORY

Attendance is taken intermittently and reported to your home institution. If you anticipate an absence, please copy both Catherine Castro AND your home institution program coordinator on the same email. We ask that you do not come into the rotation if you are sick. Rotators are expected to attend their home institution on conference days, which are generally Wednesdays for Emergency Medicine programs in New York City. You will see that this excused block of time is already built into the outline below. If you do not have teaching at your home institution on Wednesdays, please inform Catherine Castro and Roger Rothenberg by email at the start of your rotation.

Rotator Project

In addition to attendance and participation in didactic activities, a rotator project is required. All of these expectations are outlined in greater detail in the links provided above and they should be reviewed in their entirety prior to the start of the rotation.

Evaluations

Any evaluation of your performance that is required by your program should be sent Catherine Castro. Do not wait until the last week to send this.

Meet the Current Fellows

All of the fellows have their offices situated around the perimeter of the same conference room where the rotators work each day. There is an “open door” policy and rotators are encouraged to get to know the fellows, ask questions, and possibly seek career advice, especially for those interested in continuing their training in the field of toxicology.
